Hi! I’m Katie - Welcome to Inis Isle!

Art has always been a passion of mine, starting from a young age. I eagerly anticipated art class during my school days, as it was my favorite subject. As I grew older, my professional and academic life led me away from my artistic interests. However, in 2020, something magical happened, reigniting my passion for art. I discovered the beauty and fluidity of acrylic pouring and the captivating allure of resin art, which brought a renewed sense of purpose and expression to my life.

Inis Isle is a tribute to my family heritage. My grandparents immigrated from Ireland to the United States, settled down, and eventually retired to Co. Kerry. As a child, I have fond memories of visiting them overseas. The seashell art you see is my mother’s creation. She introduced me to the ocean and nurtured my love for it. Her pieces, inspired by the breathtaking Atlantic views from her family home in County Kerry, Ireland, reflect her lifelong bond with the sea—a bond she passed on to me.

The name 'Inis' means island in Irish, and refers to my ancestry, while 'Isle' refers to where I grew up, Long Island, NY. My art reflects my innermost thoughts, emotions, and experiences, expertly translated onto the canvas. Each stroke, pour, and resin layer tells a story of resilience and rediscovery. By sharing my work, I hope to evoke emotions and stir the souls of others.
